Roy Huddle pursues two main goals in his representation of clients. First, he seeks to promote reconciliation of relationships to the extent possible in each case. He does this by encouraging clients to apply biblical principles and to seek outside counseling and/or conflict coaching where appropriate. Because this approach often helps remove barriers to communication, it is possible for substantive issues to be resolved in a more meaningful and lasting way and at a lower financial cost than using traditional legal methods.
Second, Roy seeks to find solutions to substantive issues that will work long-term as opposed to solutions that are just a quick fix. Such solutions can range from “best alternative under the circumstances” to creative win-win resolutions that address the concerns of all parties in a satisfactory manner.
Family Law Litigation
While it is usually the first thing people think of in relation to Family Law, litigation is not required as a first step and is rarely effective at resolving underlying issues in Family Law disputes. In reality, however, initiating or responding to legal action is necessary in most cases. The extent of the legal action required depends on a variety of factors including the type of case, the health of the relationship between the parties, the issues involved, and the other attorney(s) involved in the case. Practically, it often includes the financial situations of the parties as well. Litigation is extremely costly and we urge clients and potential clients to thoroughly investigate the potential costs before beginning a legal proceeding.
In those cases where contested hearings and or trial are the best or only option, we seek to conduct it in such a way that, as far as is possible while protecting the interests of our clients. The door is left open for restoration and maintenance of relationships.
